Goodluck Jonathan reacts to Northern Elders Forum Chibok Ultimatum

President Jonathan replies the Northern Elders forum on Chibok girls ultimatum.

President Goodluck Jonathan has fired a shot back at the Northern Elders Forum who gave him an ultimatum over the Chibok girls.
In a statement released today, President Goodluck Jonathan forcefully denied that he would comply with any
"threat" or "ultimatum" dictating how he should execute his presidential duties.
This comes as a direct response to a demand from the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) on Monday, where they issued an October deadline for the release of the Chibok girls.
Senior Special Assistant to the President, Dr. Doyin Okupe, made the president's position known today, calling the demands "preposterous", "contrary to common sense", and "divisive".
Yesterday, the NEF suggested that the insurgency and the resulting crisis mismanagement were politically designed to destroy northern Nigeria. “We are convinced that most of these conflicts are being engineered to weaken the North politically and economically by interests, which intend to exploit such weaknesses for electoral benefits."
The forum furthered: “In the light of our firm conviction that the insurgency and related security challenges pose threats to the 2015 elections and the survival of our nation, we strongly advise President Goodluck Jonathan to bring an end to the insurgency in all its manifestations and produce the Chibok girls before the end of October 2014."
"The circumstances under which our fellow citizens in and around Gwoza in Borno State in particular live and die will not be tolerated by any people who have a government and a leader sworn to defend them, and they must be reversed immediately,” they concluded.

Goodluck Jonathan tells Northern elders forum who is in charge.

Today's response from the Jonathan administration alleged that the President and his team were making considerable strides in the fight against the insurgency, notably in empowering the military and boosting morale. "We are deploying more resources to maximize operational efficiency, acquire more advanced and relevant weaponry and boost the general morale of our combatants," the statement said, moves that justified the recent request for an additional 1 billion USD.
The statement maintained that such "distractions" and "accusations" like those presented by the citizens of the NEF were "deliberate attempts" to "disseminate hate mentality and cause mischief”.

See Presidents Jonathan's press statement below:

We read with deep concern the statement published in the Media today by the Northern Elders Forum giving President Goodluck Jonathan a two ultimatum on the Boko Haram Insurgency and the Chibok Girls abduction Saga.
We wish to state categorically that President Jonathan does not require any threat or ultimatum from any group of persons to be alive to his responsibilities to the Nigerian People.
The issue of Insurgency especially those ideologically based on Islamic extremism is a global phenomenon and requires tact, military capability, serious de-radicalisation techniques and community based counter insurgency programmes to ensure success.
In these areas, the Federal Government is making progress:
a)   We are improving on our operational capabilities and efficiencies by acquiring more advanced weapons and technologies for our military and security agencies.
b)   We have drafted more military personnel to the region to strengthen the fighting power of our armed forces.
c)   We are taking advantage of the offers from our international military and intelligence allies to assist in identifying key locations.
d)   We are working with our neighbours to secure the borders and limit the movements of the Boko Haram fighters, building on the agreements reached at the recent summits in Paris and London.
e)   We are deploying more resources to maximize operational efficiency, acquire more advanced and relevant weaponry and boost the general morale of our combatants. This is why the Government recently requested for an additional funding of $1bn.
f)    And the last piece in the puzzle is targeting the domestic and international funding, and stopping the money flows into the coffers of the terrorists.
g)   With all these efforts and the support of our allies, these steps will help fight the threat of the Boko haram and move us closer to bringing the girls back safely.
Lastly, the suggestion that the Government is carrying out any scheme to annihilate any section of the country for political gain is preposterous, contrary to common sense, divisive and essentially a deliberate attempt to disseminate “hate mentality” and cause mischief.
President Goodluck Jonathan was voted for by an overwhelming majority of Nigerians across the board, and he will never promote any policy that is either divisive or inimical to the well being of any section of the polity.
What the country needs today is total co-operation, of all its citizens and stakeholders, with the Government and our military and the security agencies.
We wish to assure Nigerians that in spite of this and many more distractions, the President is focused on continued successful executions of his transformation Agenda; and the guarantee of the security of lives and properties of the Nigerian people.

4 Indian Doctors say they're being forced to treat Ebola Patients in Nigeria

4 Indian Doctors say they're being forced to treat Ebola Patients

Four Indian doctors in Nigeria say they are being forced to treat cases of Ebola against their will and have accused their employers of taking away their passports to stop them
leaving the country, the Hindustan Timesreported on Tuesday.
However, the hospital in the Nigerian capital Abuja where the doctors are working denied the claims, pointing out there were no cases of Ebola in the city.
The doctors said they were ordered not to leave the Primus Hospital despite their fear of contracting the deadly disease, the newspaper reported.
"We haven’t been provided with any security kits. Our passports have been impounded. When we spoke to the Indian High Commission, we were asked to come to the mission. But we were stopped by guards from leaving the hospital," one of the Indian doctor's was quoted as saying.
He said the Indian doctors were forced to work after local physicians – who have been on strike – refused to come back to work.

There are no known cases of Ebola in Abuja. The country's commercial capital Lagos has 10 confirmed cases of Ebola and two patients have died. Africa's most populous nation has declared a national emergency over the outbreak.
The hospital authorities told the CNN-IBN television channel that the Indian doctors were not being forced to stay.

"These doctors were treating 25 ICU (intensive care) patients and they wanted to leave all this and wanted to go to India. I told them to work on humanitarian grounds. We have not seized their passports. I told them if we are doctors, we can't abandon the patients. Ebola is a global issue but there is no case in Abuja," said Sunny Ukachukwuu, Primus Hospital's director.
Government sources told the Hindustan Times that the situation has now been resolved with the intervention of the Indian High Commission in Nigeria. The doctors have agreed to work a few more days and then return to India.
The death toll from the world's worst outbreak of Ebola has climbed to 1,013, according to figures from the World Health Organization which has called its spread an international health emergency.

There are 40,000 Indians living in Nigeria and another 4,700 in the other affected West African countries - Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Indian authorities fear a return of many of its citizens due to the outbreak will increase the risk of the disease being imported into the country and are introducing measures to screen and track travellers from the four nations. A hotline has also been opened and has reportedly received 200 calls in two days, mainly from people asking about the symptoms of the disease.
A man who returned to India from Nigeria over the weekend displaying symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection has tested negative for Ebola, the health ministry said on Monday.

Iraq ISIS Terrorist wishes Robin Williams to Burn in HELL!

The ISIS terrorist and Robin Williams.

This is the funniest thing ever in a sad situation.Robin Williams still manages to make me laugh even in death! The ISIS who are currently involved in some of the most terrible form of killings and disregard
for human lives in Iraq showed some compassion in form of one of their members tweeting his love for the actor and his movies.
He also laughed at people who were shocked to find he knows Robin Williams and his movies. But the "ISIS member is British born, his name is Abdullah."
But as soon as he was called to the fact that Robin Williams was actually against Jihad and spoke out against some parts of the Islamic fighters,ISIS member Abdullah switched and said may Allah make Robin Williams burn! Abdullah said "Robin Williams was going to hell and anyone who wishes him to RIP will burn in hell too"!
This people are so warped with their mindset..totally unbelievable.Anyway i'm wishing Robin Williams to RIP..See you in hell fool!
